    Travel Solo to “Romantic Destinations”

    Holidays can be hard.

Most people understand the benefits of traveling. There is, however, one question that is not regularly asked. Is traveling alone to these so-called “romantic getaways” appropriate?

Here are three great reasons to travel while you’re single!

    1. You are a whole person. – Whether you are dating someone or single, the goals, dreams, and places on your bucket list are just as valid to you as a single person as they would be if you were married. So why not go ahead and explore the world while you have all this time?

You could head to the largest estate in the US at the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina! Or head to Aruba and see the transparency of the azure waters. I truly enjoyed my long weekend in Aruba all by myself while I was dating my current boyfriend (he stayed home).

Why can’t you go to St. George, Utah and trek through the desert for miles and see the beauty all around? Or head to the Great Wall of China and see one of Seven Wonders of the World! Find an abandoned castle in Palermo, Sicily. If you want to experience these things, do them. Do not let people’s opinions of you and your dreams get in the way.

    2. You can live your life with no regrets. What if you never went? What if the special someone never appeared and you kept waiting to complete that journey with them? What if your future partner will not be able to afford it (That’s why I went to Aruba by myself) or doesn’t want to go where you do? (I went to the Biltmore Estate solo). Your whole life is an opportunity, take the plunge and venture out there! You may regret not going more than you think.

I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. I know that very well. Psalm 139:14

    3. You, without a partner, are fearfully and wonderfully made. Certain locations have come to be known as ideal romantic cities or places. Why? While Hollywood has made the Empire State Building (Sleepless in Seattle) or even Casablanca (Casablanca) notorious for famed lovers, think outside the box. Just because someone says it’s romantic or it’s not, does that make it fact? Anyone can make a place unique and dear to them if they want it to be.

It goes without saying that there is no reason you cannot make yourself happy and enjoy your own time with just you! Explore. Be in awe and wander of places that you have only seen in movies or read about as the perfect honeymoon. Why should a pair of lovers have all the fun anyway? Your life is full of moments. Make the most of them. Determine the cost of your dream destination, make a plan, and contribute to it each month until you reach your goal. And if a friend happens to go with you, enjoy the time with them as well!
